Celebrating Learning

In Ruru we are working hard on our letters, sounds, words and numbers.

These clever Ruru's have created posters with their full names and numbers.. Well done boys!

We also like to celebrate our learning with our 'Quality Work' Table!
Everyone works really hard to get their work onto this table...

Watch this space for photos of our hard work.

We would also like to say a big thank-you to our parents, brothers and sisters who come in each morning to help us with our reading and handwriting. We really appreciate your support and you have been snapped by our 'Explorer' for your efforts!

Have a lovely week :)

Sustainable Communities Through Kai

Kia Ora!

We have begun our new inquiry into 'sustainable communities through kai' and Ruru has been busy gathering wonderings about what we could investigate.

We have finally come to our Big Question  -

"I wonder if we can grow our own foods and make something from it to share?"

We now have to decide how to make this happen! There are a lot of things we must consider:

What will we grow?
What is in season?
How do we plant and look after it?
How long does it take to produce food?
Where we will grow our food? Inside or outside?
How will we get our supplies needed to grow things?
What will we do once the food is ready?

Some food for thought...
Start leaving comments so we can chat about them on Monday!!

Have a lovely weekend and looking forward to sharing our ideas further on Monday!

Smiles,
Miss Welch :)
