Easter Funtivities Continued...

We would like to say a huge thank you to Ann Messmer for kindly sending us some awesome Easter Decoration kits all the way from America!!

We spent an afternoon making designs of how we wanted our eggs to look, using crayons to draw 'magic' patterns, dying the eggs funky colours, and then decorating them further with glitter and stickers...wow it was full on!

Also a big thanks to our patient and fun parent helpers who came in for the decorating. We couldn't have done it without you!

Unfortunately we ran out of time to show you our finished products...but we were so excited to show them off to other students and our families. Until next time! :)

  1. Great job on the eggs; what a fun idea! It can be hard to dye brown eggs (a lot of eggs in USA are white) so you need to leave them in the dye for quite some time to get the rich-colored results.

Hopefully the Easter Bunny visited you all.

  2. Looks like everyone had a great time! Do you have Easter egg hunts in New Zealand?

    1. Hi Ann,

Some of us have had an Easter egg hunt before. They are so much fun! Do you have Easter egg hunts in America?

      Thanks,
      Ruma Ruru :)

    2. Yes! It is a regular tradition on Easter for the Easter Bunny and Moms and Dads to hide decorated eggs. It has become popular to put chocolates and goodies and coins into plastic eggs as well. This keeps the pets from trying to find the eggs!
Does the Easter Bunny leave Easter baskets filled with jelly beans and chocolate bunnies for the kids to find on Easter morning in NZ?
